In memoriam of :
SHANNON HENDRICKSON

Shannon started her riding career as a young junior, training and riding under the country’s top trainers and clinicians. Her natural talent and drive lead her to be a top U.S. show jumping competitor by the young age of 17; qualifying for the Junior Jumper finals two years in a row, winning her zone medal finals, and the Milner Downs Grand Prix.

As a young professional, Shannon had the unique opportunity to take over the coveted program now known as Signature West Farms. A true horsewoman and forever student, Shannon regularly attended and hosted clinics from top trainers in the industry; growing and solidifying her expertise in the sport of hunter/jumpers, and quickly making a name for herself and her program.

Shannon developed numerous students and their horses over the years to accomplish her same success. Shannon produced and mentored many top young professionals over the years, passing down valuable training, insight, and horsemanship skills.

Sadly, in November of 2021, Shannon unexpectedly passed away. She left behind her husband, Rick, many furry friends, and a legacy of horsemanship that will never be forgotten.

With the continuation of the program Shannon loved so much, the team at Signature West strives to carry on her legacy and mission to create talented riders, and most of all, have fun while doing it.

Cameron Cornell
Trainer

Cameron started riding as soon as she could walk. She did various disciplines until she began taking jumping lessons and eventually ended up with Signature West Farm under Shannon Hendrickson in the early 90s.

Cameron was hooked and  quickly found her passion in the show jumping world. After being given the opportunity to ride Shannon's Grand Prix horse, Ta Ta For Now, she again found herself in the winners circle. Traveling the West Coast and Canada, Cameron earned herself top placings in the show jumping and equitation ring, quickly making a name for herself in the PNW horse community.

After Graduating from UW with a degree in communications and having her first child, Cameron came back to SWF as a working student gaining valuable guidance and coaching from Shannon. After Shannon passed, Cameron decided her passion was sharing her knowledge and the love of horses and ultimately decided to do it professionally; joining the Signature West team as a trainer.

Cameron is an absolute asset to the team, and looks forward to carrying on Shannon’s legacy. She looks forward to giving students the same knowledge and opportunities that Shannon gave to her.
